Gold Fish

We recently got a few gold fish for our studio, which inspired this piece. Soon after they perished; so i guess you could call this a memorial piece. Hah.

San Diego

Hello everyone,

It's been a heckuva long time since my last post. My apologies.

The most relevant, and the most exciting news, is that we just got back from San Diego. and some of you will know, that that implies we were there for the Comic Convention. Well you assumers would be right. The Convention was a blast and San Diego itself is a lovely and wonderful town. We(Hilary, Jo Brar and I) had a wonderful place down by the water in Little Italy. This is a wonderful neighborhood, and the restaraunts, let me tell you, are unsurpassed.

But anyways, business-wise, the convention was very fruitful for us. We got our portfolio and Snow Angel under a whole boat load of eyes,. Nigh on all of the people who reviewed our work were impressed and very supportive. I hope this means that we may all get to see further issues of snow angel on the shelf soon.

Well, folks, thats all for the moment. I leave you with two small sketches. Can you guess which one is done with real ink and which one digital??

oh, and by the way, look here soon for a process/making of video of one of the pieces in our gallery.

I did this sketch just last night. once again done purely digital with no paper.

Funny, back in art school, full of idealist mentality, i swore to the gods of all things pure; that I would never become a digital artist. It'd be fun to go back to those days and torment myself. That would be wicked fun. It's funny the idiotic ideals you eventually set aside, in favor of making the best art you can. That ideal, I think, in regards to picture making, is the only ideal that will hold true and stand the test of time...summarized "i will do what it takes to make the best, most appealing, most meaningful pictures i am capable of." Beware the blanket statement of the young zealot.(what about the old zealots? i hear you ask...no answer, one must respect ones elders)

Saint Sophia...who's that??

Good evening everyone.

And here is a new sketch.

First off, this was a sketch and in this case, the inspiration was pretty damn thin. Basically i was listening to 70's and 80's rock, specifically alannah myles, joan jett and Blondie. And, if any body would care to take the time to google Debbie Harry, you will see a boat load of inspiration.

So with that imagery in mind, i sketched this in photoshop(with a tablet) and yeah...that was it!. The Saint Sophia thing...beats me!, just coolness.

First Post

Well good evening ladies and gentlement.

If you could hold this in your hands you would find it light on content and heavy on promise, if such things can be felt. In the near and indefinite future you will find all manner of artwork created by myself as well as some (probably) interesting, accompanying dialogue. This art will demonstrate the words will illuminate. So with all false modesty aside, i bid you welcome and hope you enjoy that which I set before you. Amen.

And now for some meat and potatoes. Just a sketch I did this evening between pages for Snow Angel.
